Lenders use a Debt-to-Income (DTI) Ratio instead of a fixed income amount.

General DTI Guidelines:

37% or lower – Ideal for best jumbo interest-only and super jumbo lenders.
43% or lower – Standard for jumbo lenders with best rates.
